Auckland Castle

Banqueting Facilities

The Music Room For great formal banquets or private dinners Auckland castle offers three unique settings: The Throne Room and centre of the Castle, for 120 guests; the Long dining Room, originally built in the 16th century, for 60 guests; and the Music Room for 20 guests. This may be used in conjunction with the adjacent King Charles Drawing Room, once a Tudor state bedroom, to make for a comfortable, convivial event in relaxing surroundings.

King Charles Drawing Room The King Charles Drawing Room was also remodelled in the 18th century. It features a rococo style ceiling and a marble fireplace of the Grinling Gibbons' school.

The Long Dining Room Added in the 16th century by Bishop Tunstall, the Long Dining Room was remodelled in the 18th century by Bishop Trevor, whose coat of arms still dominates the fine plaster ceiling.

In addition the Castle can serve as the backdrop for a marquee for a larger function.
