The Manager is particularly keen to encourage anyone interested to join the 'Friends of Auckland Castle'.
"Friends are of great help to us in the support they offer, especially acting as stewards for visitors and administering our small shop selling gifts and souvenirs."
In return Friends can enjoy a variety of special social evenings throughout the year, such as wine and cheese evenings, often with a speaker on a topical subject, and there is also a Christmas Party hosted by the Bishop.
