Coach and Group Visits
The Castle and Gardens make a really interesting day out. There is free parking, and a short walk to the castle entrance, where this is also a gift shop and toilet facilities (including disabled).
Pre-booked group tours must have a minimum number of 20. Admission during opening hours for a pre-booked tour is £4.00 per person. We would be happy to consider a special opening of the Castle - cost available on request.
You may also wish to incorporate lunch, afternoon tea or supper into your tour. Please see Coach and Group Menu section, for more details on menus available, but if none of them are suitable we would be happy to discuss your specific requirements.
If catering is required please note this must be pre-booked, final numbers and special dietary requirements must be confirmed no later than 7 working days prior to the visit, with full payment on the day of the tour.

Booking your Visit
To check availability and provisionally book a date, please feel free to contact the Castle. Should you wish to proceed, this should then be confirmed by returning the downloadable booking form with a deposit of £50.00
Print out the Group Booking Form, complete and post with the deposit to Auckland Castle, Bishop Auckland, County Durham DL14 7NR. If you would like the Group Booking Form mailing to you please call 01388 601 627, between 9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday or email: info@auckland-castle.co.uk.
Please remember you need fifteen or more people to qualify for summer discounts.
Information for Couriers/Coach Operators & Drivers
- Please book in advance. Vouchers accepted by prior arrangement
- Visit length at least 1 hours
- Coach parking is on driveway and free of charge
- Admission free for drivers, official couriers/guides with group
- To speed access - please keep your party together and present your Group Ticket at the main entrance.
